Business Development Executive (Field and Office based)

Outline of the role

As a Business Development Executive your prime responsibility will be to target prospective customers and work to close opportunities of a corporate size across enterprise. You will seek out, identify and establish relationships with enterprise prospects. You will work to sell direct and demonstrate our software.

Your role will be pivotal in ensuring all new signups are converted into sales, afterwards retained as a client and furthermore developed through networking.

You will also work very closely with the Head of Business preparing reports and dealing with client queries in a professional and efficient manner.

Desired skills and experience

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a year’s B2B sales experience, preferably gained but not limited to selling software solutions. You will be a confident closer and proactive. You will have excellent communication skills and self-motivation.

You will be “web” and “mobile savvy”, proficient at delivering online demonstrations and keen to progress your career. Previous software or web experience would be advantageous.

The successful candidate can expect a base salary circa £23,000 dependent upon previous experience, with an uncapped first year OTE exceeding £30,000 plus executive benefits.

Job Role

As a Business Development Officer (NBDO) – Asia; Mobile VAS you will be responsible for selling the company’s mobile billing connectivity options to organisations throughout Asia and worldwide in the Mobile VAS space. The role is Asia based spilt amongst two key roles:

i) To identify new targets in China and across Asia (Mobile VAS)

Targeting Mobile Content Providers, Mobile VAS and Handset Manufactures.

ii) Work with existing clients to grow business further.

Must Have Criteria
To be considered for this position you must have the following:

· A successful track record in Mobile VAS and / or Handset Manufacturer content per-load, this can be through any type of online payment be it credit card, mobile payments, alternative payments.

· Recognised skillset as a key influencer to senior decision makers.

· Strong commercial awareness of mobile payments and messaging; and how these technologies can aid achieving business goals, is vital.

· An existing network of contacts and relationships in sectors such as retail, online commerce, finance, digital entertainment and mobile would be advantageous.

· Possess a tenacious can do attitude as a highly motivated self-starter.

· Accustomed to achieving and exceeding corporate goals and targets.

· Capable of taking ownership of and delivering against a complex sales process.

· Language skills, Chinese, English and / or other Asian languages essential.

Job Role

Responsibilities

  • Vast experience in the EU for SMS messaging.
  • Understand txtNation current messaging rates and market availability, to leverage current rates into our plan where possible.
  • Identify and close deals, delivering revenues against the messaging plan.
  • Work with txtNation on messaging SLA’s and contracts (where and if required).
  • Analyse, negotiate rates and contracts from upstream connectivity i.e. networks.
  • Work within target margins where possible set forward in the plan.
  • Negotiate rates and contracts from local networks.
  • Work according to the Team’s Strategy, successfully generating leads and signing on clients to use our range of API’s, primary focus on HTTP and SMPP.
  • Developing existing network and pipeline. An existing network of contacts and relationships in sectors using messaging such as retail, online commerce, finance, digital entertainment and mobile would be advantageous.
  • Constantly grow and maintain a healthy New Business pipeline, supporting you with our account managers.
  • Devise new sales strategies and other original approaches that make the sales process more efficient for the client and the team as a whole.
  • Drive company growth by meeting and aggressively exceeding targets set forward in the plan.
  • Prioritise and deliver the best possible customer experience to both key accounts and smaller ‘self-service’ users, without compromise.
  • Build lasting relationships with key decision makers in your target accounts.
  • Provide a consultative, solution oriented sales approach over the full delivery lifecycle.
  • Ensure that RFPs are responded to in a planned and timely manner.
  • Attend and coordinate going to events in the target Regions.
  • Conduct regular, region-specific research and market analysis.
  • Work to improve and evolve our on-line knowledgeable for Messaging.
  • Present at board meetings as board member.
  • Management; Build messaging team over period of the plan, i.e. your trading and sales team.
  • Reporting to CEO.
