Systems Administrator

We are looking for a System Administrator to assist in maintaining our busy platform. We are an award-winning mobile billing and messaging aggregator, headquartered in Plymouth, England, and if you are a bright, technical and creative individual we want to hear from you.

You will have a broad interest in LAMP, preferably in a commercial setting, and be comfortable identifying and solving technical issues across a range of software and hardware contexts.

You will have experience of cloud based solutions.

Some experience of PHP will be required and this will be encouraged over time.

Duties include:

·         Maintaining existing servers

·         Creating new servers

·         Documenting server setup

·         Disaster recovery planning in conjunction with systems manager

·         Proactive maintenance of current on site and cloud based systems

·         Applying updates and restarting systems within a given time window

·         Installing and removing software in a live environment

·         Recovering and repairing faulty systems

·         Interrogating PHP code to identify faults

There may be some out-of-hours and weekend cover work to ensure our platform works 24/7.

IT Manager

This is an exciting role with an award-winning mobile billing and messaging aggregator headquartered in Plymouth, England.

The company is expanding and has grand plans for the future to add to it’s already successful business strategy.

We need a dynamic IT manager with coding and development experience (PHP and SQL).

They will need to lead the existing team of developers and be able to communicate on their level (this team will be expanding in the future).

Manage the expectations of the senior management team and keep them up to date with the day to day and the future requirements.

The current systems for development and project management need to be re-structured and updated and the candidate will need proven experience in managing the development and project management process.

These processes will need to be documented and internal users trained in the correct way to maintain these systems.

You will be responsible for growing the company in conjunction with the plans laid out by the senior management team, but also have the ability to advise on potential direction changes where needed.

You will be responsible for managing the progress of internal development projects combing all departments within the company to ensure all jobs are on target.

You will also be responsible for the external projects and making sure all relevant parties are sticking to  a defined structure and delivering solutions on time and if not reporting to the correct parties and implementing solutions to stop any delays.
